The DURANGO GUARDIAN is a 21st century electronic publication that's based on citizen journalism. Under this concept of citizen journalism, we, the DURANGO GUARDIAN, and you, the regional public, work together to become The Eyes, Ears, and Voice of our communities through this news website.
All too often, it seems that group and institutional decisions are made by individuals who have their own personal motives to influence public processes that impact all of us. The DURANGO GUARDIAN is primarily interested in these decision-makers' motives, their underlying agendas and ideas.
It's our belief that we, the area residents, have the right to know and understand all of the decisions and events that impact us, our families and friends. We must be able to ask questions and disseminate the information that we discover, and this is the purpose and role of the DURANGO GUARDIAN.
